Editorial Policy & Disclosure

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Best HRT Providers is an independent comparison site for online hormone therapy. This page explains who writes our content, how we judge providers, and how we stay impartial while earning money from affiliate links. It also serves as our site-wide disclosure.

Why we publish

Many women have trouble finding clear, trustworthy information about menopause, perimenopause and hormone therapy. Our aim is to close that gap with careful research and straightforward provider comparisons.

Disclosure: how we are paid

We take part in affiliate programs. If you click a link and sign up with a provider, we may receive a commission. That income pays for the site and keeps it free for readers.

Money does not decide rankings. Our editors set provider order, scores and written assessments from the criteria below. Providers cannot pay for a higher position or edit a review, and a provider can be listed whether or not we have a commercial relationship with it.

How we evaluate providers

Every provider is assessed against the same checklist:

  • Clinical quality: qualified, licensed clinicians, evidence-based protocols and sensible lab monitoring
  • Transparency: clear pricing and honest labelling of compounded versus FDA-approved medicines
  • Access: telehealth availability, state coverage and how quickly you can start
  • Patient experience: support responsiveness, reliable fulfilment and an easy onboarding flow
  • Safety: accredited compounding pharmacies and proper informed-consent processes

We revisit rankings when a provider changes its plans, prices or practices.

How we write guides

Treatment and symptom guides are written by our editors and checked against peer-reviewed research, prescribing guidance from medical societies and established safety data. We cite the basis for factual claims and flag areas where evidence is uncertain or experts disagree.

We do not publish promotional copy for specific providers. When a product is named, it is to compare it, not to endorse it.

Medical disclaimer

Everything on this site is for general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Speak with a qualified clinician before starting, stopping or changing any hormone therapy.

Corrections

Accuracy matters to us. If you spot an error, email hello@hrt.us.com and we will review it and fix confirmed mistakes promptly.

Note on compounded medications

Several providers on this site dispense compounded medications. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality. We state when a product is compounded and encourage you to discuss the trade-offs with a clinician.
